The beautiful ancient cities of Bulgaria are now enjoying a great number for tourists and travelers from across the globe, but most of these are coming mostly because of the unique ski, spa and Bulgaria Black Sea resorts.
Bulgaria offers some of the most exciting destinations for tourists looking to enjoy a vacation for less in Europe, offering unique and unspoiled nature. Further the country is still quite less expensive as compared to most of the other European countries.
But this country of almost 8000000 people has much to offer for a tourist wanting to explore. Bulgaria is full of rich flora and fauna and fresh water springs and curative mineral mud coasts. Bulgaria is well connected to by Eurail, European budget flyers and the Eurolines bus service and the of course, if you have rented a car in Europe mainland, you very well drive in to the country with a valid passport and visa for any of the EU member countries.
Apart from the springs and the mineral mud coasts, Bulgaria has on offer its beautiful Black Sea Coast and the amazing seaside resorts surrounding it. Every year thousands of tourists from all over the world flock to the various cities located on the side of Bulgaria Black Sea. The largest and most important cities located on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast are Bourgas and Varna.
Although Bourgas is more of an industrial town located on the Black Sea coast, it is fast becoming a favored tourist destination because of the free trade zone and its great night life. Apart from that, the fact that Bourgas is one of the two airports on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast where your flights would land, it has also ensured that it develops faster as compared to other smaller towns. Bourgas is also surrounded by various beautiful sea coast resorts like the Sunny Beach resort for example.
Varna is the other the major city on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast which attracts a number of tourists each year. Actually most of the tourists coming to Bulgarian Black Sea are landing in Varna’s international airport. It is also one the most beautiful and modern towns in Bulgaria. Varna is a town where the renaissance, medieval and the modern world meet. The city is full of amazing pieces of architecture and is surrounded by many beautiful beach resorts, such as Albena, St. Konstantin & Elena, Golden Sands and many more.

Welcome to beautiful New Zealand (NZ)

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

New Zealand is an island country located in the Pacific Ocean in the Southern Hemisphere consisting of the main islands The North Island and The South Island in addition to a group of smaller islands including the Chatham Islands and the Stewart Island or Rakiura Island (see map of New Zealand). Cook Islands and Niue are island nations in free association with New Zealand. They have complete autonomy being independent nations even though they are not viewed by the United Nations as separate from New Zealand. The residents of these islands are considered citizens of the state of New Zealand. New Zealand also governs the territory of Tokelau. The Ross Dependency is New Zealands territorial claim on the frozen continent of Antarctica. Wellington is the capital of the country while Auckland is the largest and most populated metropolis.

New Zealand is a democracy and constitutional monarchy under the symbolic leadership of the British monarch Queen Elizabeth the Second. The parliamentary leader, the Prime Minister, holds the actual power of government who is appointed by the nominal Head of State, the Governor General and who acts as the categorical Head of State. The government is a democracy and thus the Parliament is democratically elected. The country is a member of the British Commonwealth, which is an association of fifty three nations that were previously British colonies many of which still recognize the British monarch as their own as a result of which they accept God Save The Queen as their national anthem. New Zealand also accepts God Defend New Zealand as a national anthem effectively giving it two national anthems.

The people of New Zealand are of European and Asian ancestry with percentages of the population belonging to the indigenous Polynesian or Maori people as well as people of Polynesian descent who are not of the Maori culture.

The culture of New Zealand is a fairly recently developed one as New Zealand was on of the last regions of the world that human civilization touched. It is a fascinating blend of contributing threads from its population of people of varying ancestries. It is a mix of American, British, Australian; European as well as liberal splashes of Polynesian (chiefly Maori) and Asian influences. Festivals celebrated here are as far ranging and varied as Diwali, Christmas, the Chinese New Year and a grand Polynesian festival the Pasifika. A nation that considers religion a private matter it is exceeding peaceful and accepting of different ways of life. The Maori ways, which had been fading due to the introduction then spread of Christianity in the early half of the nineteenth century, have seen a rise in the last few decades.

As showcased in the Lord of the Rings movies New Zealand is lush with greenery and has snow capped mountains that dip down to the ocean. The flora and fauna of the land are almost exclusively unique to it and cannot be found in any other part of the globe (see our New Zealand photos). A richly bio diverse region consisting of a large percentage of endemic flora and fauna such as forests, home to rare birds like the kiwi, kakapo, kaka, kea parrot and takah? and a multiplicity of endemic insects. The nation is highly sensitive to ecological issues and spearheads projects to save its precious variety of endangered species.

Eastern Coast of Thailand

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

We are back with more information on beautiful Thailand. Today we are going to talk about Pattaya and some of its nearby islands.

Pattaya is situated along a bay on the East Coast of the Gulf of Thailand, about 2 hours from Bangkok. Pattaya has grown from a small fishing village in the early 1960s, to one of Asias favorite vacation cities. A fascinating place where tourists, holiday makers and vacationers from around the world can unwind and relax.

Unlike other beach resorts, where natural surroundings are used as magnets to attract tourists, Pattaya makes an all-out attempt to provide the best of everything (it does it very well).

Here, everything means everything a tourist can imagine while on holiday:

Pattaya currently combines the delights of a 1st class beach resort, city-like dining, shopping and night entertainment facilities with more than 300 assorted Pattaya hotels, thousands of shops, restaurants and bars. In addition, there are an range of sports and recreational activities including beaches, golf courses, tennis courts, go-karts, gyms for working out, weight lifting and Thai-boxing gear. Pattaya offers a broad range of things to do. During the day, you are able to go riding elephants or driving low power automatic mini-bikes, to monstrous motorcycles, or even monster multicolored convertible Jeeps. You might like to go shooting firearms, scuba diving and surfing, deep-sea fishing, speed boating, water-skiing, parasailing, or aerial sports such as gliding ultra-lights and flying motor-propelled gliders, its all available in Pattaya. On the other hand, at night, there are restaurants, bars, theaters, cabaret shows, night clubs, bowling halls, billiard & snooker clubs, exotic erotic shows, discos, sauna & massage parlors, not to forget its incredible shopping which is available non-stop both day-and-night.

If you are seeking something else that is also near Bangkok but smaller Koh Larn would be a good choice. Koh Larn is a lovely little island located about 7km off the cost of Pattaya, and only 2 hours from Bangkok. The island is fairly small at only 4km long and 2km wide, but only having about 1000 resdidents of the island make feel spacious. Koh Larn has most of the necessities for everyday living, including small supermarkets, drug stores, bars, restuarants, small police force, and clicnic. In total there are about 6 beaches of the island each having beautiful white sand and clear blue sea. The lush interior is mostly mountainous covered in jungle, and full of wildlife espically monkeys. There are plenty of things to do on the island, but the most popular is just relaxing.

Need somthing a little bigger to relax and explore on? Then Koh Chang would be the best bet. Koh Chang Island is the main focal point of an island chain located in a national marine park. Ko Chang is the second largest island in Thailand after Phuket, measuring some 30km long by about 8km wide. But unlike Phuket or Koh Samui it hasnt been over developed. Although a very large Island it has quite a small population. But thats what makes it nice.

The west coast has the most beautiful beaches and is the more developed of Ko Changs beach areas. The beaches on Koh Chang are large and dont get too busy. The number one beach is Hat Sai Khao (white sand beach) I can confirm it is nice, as I have been there.

Thailand Tropical Paradise

Wednesday, January 9th, 2008

Thailand is a mix of eastern and western cultures. Choosing where to visit can take some time without the right information. If a busy major city is your thing, Bangkok would be your best bet. You will either love Bangkok or hate it. East meets West in Bangkok. Beautiful temples, floating markets, traditional festivals, cultural events, Thai hospitality combined with an ultra modern transport system, top class Bangkok hotels, fantastic restaurants (seafood) pumping nightlife, bars, and some of the best shopping anywhere, at prices far lower than you could ever dream about.
Bangkok is a major international city, but you will find a week is more than enough time to see and do most things. It would be a good idea to mix time in Bangkok with a holiday on the beach or in the countryside of Chiang Mai, so you can experience more of what Thailand has to offer.

If somewhere a little more tropical appeals, the small beautiful Thai island of Koh Samet would be a great choice. Koh Samet is an idyllic island (often refered to as crystal island) with superb beaches and a relaxed chilled out atmosphere. Around 200km from Bangkok make Koh Samet Island both easy and affordable to get to. Taking about 3-4 hours total travelling time from Bangkok, or 2 hours from Pattaya.

These are just a few of the places to visit while you are in Thailand, but check back as we review hundreds more. Happy holidays!

MAXJet dives into Chapter 11

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

The holiday season was not so joyful for scores of MAXJet passengers who were  stranded at airports when the airline ceased operations. MAXjet declared bankruptcy  citing high fuel cost and low passenger loads which in turn left their planes and  passengers stranded on the tarmac. MAXjet is a US based; all business class airline  operating a fleet of Boeing 767s. In contrast, the British airline Sliverjet, which also operates all business  class flights between London and New York on a Boeing 767, is doing fairly well.
Since 2005, many all business class airlines have taken shape and have began to do  fairly well on what was once legacy routes, mainly United States- Britain. We’ve all  heard of low fare airlines but now there are also these mid fare airlines that offer  some excellent products. Usually boasting their own lounges, transfer facilities, and  exclusive aircraft in which there are only 1/4th the maximum number of seats on the  plane, all topped off with an amazing in flight product which some analysts speculate  is of a business/first class mesh and low business – premium economy class costs!  This new type of airline is bound to stay but MAXJet may surely not be the first to  go out with rising fuel costs and intense competition! For more Airline News as well as more aviation happenings, visit this Aviation Forum. Also, take a peek at some Flight Reviews as well!

Ski Holidays

Thursday, November 8th, 2007

With the weather getting colder, many people’s thoughts are now turning to their winter break, and there are few more popular ways of enjoying the beautiful scenery than on a ski break in one of the world’s top winter sports destinations.
This year, ski holidays are set to be even more popular than ever before, with more and more people travelling to the Alps, Rocky Mountains and the Pyrenees in order to get on the piste and enjoy the fantastic snow and après ski available to them.
Whether you are a novice skier looking for simple ski runs and a gentle introduction to the world of winter sports, or return year after year, you will find that a skiing holiday is a great way of spending time with your family, and getting plenty of exercise.
One of the most important things about your ski holiday is choosing the right destination.  This year, the hottest ski resorts are likely to be the ones in Eastern Europe where you can enjoy fantastic ski holidays in Borovets.  After years of development, these resorts are now very much the equal of more established destinations, and many people now rate them as some of the best places to go skiing in the world thanks to the relatively low cost of living that you can enjoy there.
If you need some help in choosing the best ski resorts for your winter holiday this year, then a fantastic place to start looking is on the Low Cost Deals website.  They offer a huge variety of different resorts along with flights, hotel accommodation, and much much more besides.
Don’t miss out on a skiing holiday this year – if you take the whole family with you, you will be able to spend time together getting into the swing of the thing, and learn new skills, as well as enjoying the fantastic mountain scenery, warm welcome, and of course, the thrill of the snow on a holiday to remember.

Airlines

Thursday, September 13th, 2007

The airline industry is fascinating, just reading about the history and organization of airlines is pretty cool. I ran across a cool site the other day, you really should check out. I thought it was very interesting reading about Jet Blue and how they got started in the industry. Another interesting airline is Emirates Airline, serving some of the richest people in the world.

Whether you want to book flights, find a job in the airline industry or just get some useful information, airlines.ws is the place to go.
